Dorshei Tzedek Softball Team
Welcome to the home of the Dorshei Tzedek-Newton Men's Softballl Team.
Dorshei Tzedek is a Recronstructionist Congregation in West Newton.
Our team joined the MSSL in 2007.
We welcome all Dorshei Tzedek members, family, and friends to our games. Our home games are at Forte Field on California Street in the Nonantum section of Newton.
Opening Day of the 2009 Season is upon us!
The team has higher expectations for our 3rd season in the MSSL. Our goal is to make the playoffs and compete for the Kiddush Cup.
Our schedule is challenging! We play the other teams in our division plus one team in the other division and one team in the other conference. After our opening game against Beth Elohim-2, we hit the road to play Temple Beth Shalom-1 of Needham. We return home the following week to play a new expansion team, Shir Tikvah-Beth El of Winchester/Belmont. Then we go on an extended road trip to Lexington to play the Isaiah Red-Lox teams, first Team-1 and then Team-2 the following week. CDT wraps up the road trip with a visit to Maimonides of Brookline. Returning to our home field on May 31, we take on Temple Beth Elohim-1 of Wellesley, the stronger of the two Beth Elohim teams. We wrap up the regular season on June 7 against a Newton congregation, Temple Shalom. The season looks to be an exciting season with marquee teams coming to play at Forte Field.
